Dec. 18	- The Final Exam will be held on Wednesday, January 02 in SNA-B119 at 08:30 am. It will cover the material of lectures 1-28 (Chapters 1-7 of Textbook 1.)
Dec. 07	- A minor correction: In problem 7.4 (c) of Textbook 1, it is to be understood that the sets A and B are nonempty.
Dec. 04	- Homework Assignment 6 has been posted. It is due on December 13 at 13:00. See Homework Assignments. - Quiz 6 will be held on December 14 in SNA-158 at 13:00. It will cover the material of lectures 21-25 and the subjects of Homework Assignment 6.
Nov. 19	- Midterm Exam grades have been posted in KUSIS. You may view your exam papers and make written objections within two weeks (before Dec. 04) in the office of Mr. Fırtına Kücük in his office hours. - Solutions to Midterm Exam 1 problems have been posted as Supplementary Material.
Nov. 13	- Homework Assignment 5 has been posted. It is due on November 29 at 13:00. See Homework Assignments. - Quiz 5 will be held on November 30 in SNA-158 at 13:00. It will cover the material of lectures 16-21 and the subjects of Homework Assignment 5.
Nov. 06	- The Midterm Exam will be held on Saturday, November 17 in SNA-159 at 10:00 am. It will cover the material of lectures 1-16 (Chapters 1-5 of Textbook 1.)
Oct. 26	- The dates for Midterm Exam and Quiz 4-6 have been changed. See Quiz & Exam Schedule. - Homework Assignment 4 has been posted. It is due on November 08 at 13:00. See Homework Assignments. - Quiz 4 will be held on November 09 in SNA-158 at 13:00. It will cover the material of lectures 11-15 and the subjects of Homework Assignment 4.
Oct. 23	- Typos in Problems 4.4 and 4.16 of Textbook 1 should be corrected as follows. 1) Problem 4.4 on pages 91: Change “12” to “24”. 2) Problem 4.16 (b) on pages 93 should read as: “Let A and B be nonempty sets. Then A × B = B × A if and only if A=B.” - TA’s office hours have been revised. See Contact Information.
Oct. 16	- Homework Assignment 3 has been posted. It is due on October 25 at 13:00. See Homework Assignments. - Quiz 3 will be held on October 26 in SNA-158 at 13:00. It will cover the material of lectures 7-11 and the subjects of Homework Assignment 3.
Oct. 11	- TA’s office hours have been revised. See Contact Information. - Quiz 2 will be held on October 12 in SNA-158 at 13:00.

Sep. 27	- Quiz 1 is postponed to Tuesday, Oct. 02 at 13:00. It will be held in SNA-A21. - The PS on Sep. 28 has been cancelled. It will be done after Quiz 1 on Oct. 02. - There will be a make-up lecture during the PS on Friday, Oct. 05, in SNA-158. Attendance will be taken during this lecture. - Homework Assignment 2 has been posted. It is due on October 11 at 13:00. See Homework Assignments. - Quiz 2 will be held on October 12. It will cover the material of lectures 4-7 and the subjects of Homework Assignment 2.
Sep. 25	- PDF of Chapter 2 of the A Textbook 1 has been posted in the page Supplementary Material.
Sep. 21	- Quiz 1 which is to be held on September 28 will cover the material of lectures 1-3 and the subjects of Homework Assignment 1. Quizzes in this course are more like mini exams of up to 45 minutes in duration. They typically include at least one problem from among the relevant homework assignment(s). - Copies of both the textbooks have been put on reserve in the library. - According to the Pandora Bookstore officials, copies of the book “A First Course in Abstract Mathematics,” will be available by the next Tuesday or Wednesday (Sep. 25 or 26).
Sep. 20	- Homework Assignment 1 has been posted. It is due on September 27 at 13:00. See Homework Assignments. - PS’s will be held on Fridays, 13:00-14:15 in SNA-158.
