- Read pages 674-684 of Stewart's Calculus (6th Edition) which correspond to pages 689-700 of Stewart's Calculus (7th Edition) before working out the homework problems.

- Your response to the homework problems should be hand-written and legible. You should give the statement of each problem and indicate if you use the textbook's 6th or 7th edition.

- You should turn in your homework papers at the specified time. Otherwise it will be considered as a late homework and subjected to a penalty. See the syllabus of the course for policies regarding late homeworks.

 

Homework Problems:

1) Give the definition of the following concepts:

    a) Equal sets

    b) Domain of a function

    c) An onto function

    d) A real sequence

    e) A sequence that is bounded below

    f) A decreasing sequence

2) Solve the following problems.

    Stewart's Calculus (6th Edition), Pages 684-686 Problems: 15, 24, 31, 42, 45, 62, 66, 68, 70, 71, or

    Stewart's Calculus (7th Edition), Pages 700-702 Problems: 19, 30, 39, 50, 55, 74, 78, 80, 82, 83
