Application of Dynamic Control to Protein Folding Trajectories

We are investigating the optimum folding pathways of proteins using a combination of

dynamic control and molecular dynamic simulations. Besides searching through the

energy contributions during the folding process, we are trying to find out new adaptive

methodologies in order to switch in between coarse-grained and all-atomic scales.

Our focus on the dynamics of protein folding mechanisms is motivated by the

presence of anomalies and errors in folding that are responsible for Creutzfeld-Jakob

disease, Bovine spongiform encephalopathy, and Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases.
