Objectives
This EURO WG Conference is organized by the EURO Working Group on Operational Research in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and Medicine (EURO-CBBM). The goal of EURO Working Group on the Operational Research in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics and Medicine (EWG CBBM) is to promote and to facilitate communication links among European (and other) researchers working in areas of operational research in computational biology, bioinformatics and medicine. In addition, with this EURO WG Conference EURO-CBBM aims to foster a better understanding of concepts, models and solution algorithms used in important problems of computational biology, bioinformatics and medicine under the umbrella of EURO in close collaboration with all its partners and co-organizing institutions.
Areas of Interest
We welcome researchers from different backgrounds addressing challenging problems in computational biology, bioinformatics and medicine:
- biomolecular sequence analysis,
- comparative genomics,
- phylogenetics,
- modelling and prediction of gene patterns,
- microarray informatics,
- protein structure prediction,
- protein interactions,
- genetic networks,
- analysis of genetic variations,
- systems biology,
- gene classification (e.g., for protection of gene pools),
- docking and drug design,
- modeling and analysis of metabolic networks.
