Research Areas - Fabrication, Testing & Analysis

Our research interest lies across a multidisciplinary field, where solid mechanics, materials and biology meet.
Research and development efforts are geared towards specific problems regarding molecular diagnostics, nano-bio interfaces/hybrid molecular devices and scale-dependence of mechanical properties.
Current focus is placed on batch-compatible fabrication of Si nanowires and development of integration philosophies of these nanowires with micro electromechanical systems, development and fabrication of resonant microcantilever-based biosensor systems, and mechanical property measurements of nanowires.
