The GLODEM seeks to advance the knowledge of globalization and
democratic governance in their diverse economic, political, social,
cultural and business dimensions.
It is formed on an inclusive basis encompassing diverse regions and
disciplines in a comparative and multidisciplinary perspective with
special emphasis on 'Turkey in the context of the European Union (EU)'
as well as 'the EU in the global context'. The center serves as an
international platform for interested scholars to the study of
globalization and democratic governance.
