OCT BOARD</font>
<p><font face="OCR A Extended">We welcome you to the OCT WEBSITE !</font>
<p><font face="OCR A Extended">The Optical Committee of Turkey (OCT) was
founded in 1996. It is the body representing Turkey at the International
Commission for Optics (ICO), of which Turkey is a member since January
1, 1997. The Committee is endorsed by the Scientific and Technical Research
Council of Turkey. If you work or do research in the field of Optics in
Turkey, you are entitled to become a member.</font>
<p><font face="OCR A Extended">OCT is the leading scientific and educational
body in the field of Optics in Turkey. All OCT members have advanced degrees
in their respective fields and active in teaching and research.</font>
<p><font face="OCR A Extended">We are aware that the foundation of all
sustainable economic development is current and complete knowledge. Knowledge
is generated by research and is disseminated by education. OCT</font>
<br><font face="OCR A Extended">members are dedicated to pursue this route
to improve the local and global quality of life.</font>
<p><font face="OCR A Extended">The OCT Bulletin Board creates a forum for
all scientists and educators in the field of Optics in Turkey to gather
and discuss the issues, which are important and timely. The Information
Super-Highway is here to stay, and control global developments. OCT has
to move on this Super-Highway, and expand its impact in the field of Optics
in Turkey.</font>
<p><font face="OCR A Extended">We firmly believe that, the OCT website
will enable us to further exchange ideas and make our organization stronger
and take great strides towards accomplishing its goals. Please join us
