Title: Results on bent functions and plateaued functions
Abstract: Bent functions and plateaued functions are useful in many areas including cryptography, sequence design and coding theory. After some background we present our recent results on constructions and characterizations of bent and plateaued functions over finite fields.
Speaker's Brief Biography: Ferruh Özbudak received the B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 1993 and Ph.D. in Mathematics in 1997, both from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. Currently, he is a Professor at Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. His research interests include algebraic curves, codes, sequences, cryptography, finite fields and Galois rings.
