Abstract:

A problem of D. H. Lehmer (from Richard Guy's book, Unsolved
problems in Number Theory) raises the question of investigating the
number of integers   x between 1 and p-1, where p is a prime, such
that  x  and its inverse modulo p are of opposite parity. We will
discuss this problem and give an answer to a generalization of this
problem, which we call Lehmer tuples problem. We will also mention a
further result about the uniform distribution of Lehmer tuples.
