Biography Dr. Öznur Özkasap is a faculty member in Department of Computer Engineering at Koç University since 2000. Before joining to Koç University, she was a graduate research assistant at Cornell University, Department of Computer Science from 1997 to 1999. From 1992 to 2000, she has been a research and teaching assistant at Ege University, Department of Computer Engineering. She received her Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Ege University in 2000. During her Ph.D., she was awarded the TÜBİTAK-NATO A2 Ph.D. Research Scholarhip Abroad and completed her Ph.D. dissertation at Cornell University. Dr. Özkasaps research interests include distributed computing systems, computer networks, network protocols, modeling/simulation/evaluation of distributed biologically-inspired algorithms, information dissemination, and distributed real-time systems.
