Quick Bio: I received my B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Middle East Technical University (ODTÜ), Ankara, Turkey in 1990. Both my M.S. (1994) and PhD (1996) in Operations Management are from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. I joined Koç University in Fall 2002, where I am Professor of Operations Management. Previously I was a faculty member at INSEAD. I spent the academic year 2008-2009 as a visiting scholar at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. My research is in the area of service operations management. In particular I am interested in call center design and management problems, modeling of service delivery systems, and stochastic modeling in general.
