Catalyst. The adjusted
average of the final is 40 (over 70), the maximum score is
67 (over
70), and the standard deviation is 13. You should be able
to see
the grades online in a couple of days.
Have a nice summer.

We'll have the review session at LOW 111 on 7/28 Thursday
at 1:10-2:10.
Note that my office hours this week MWF 12:00 -
13:00. Your TA Yannick will be holding additional
office hours
on Friday from 1:10 to 2:20 and again from 4:40 to 6:00 in
my office, Padelford C-543. I will still be holding
my
regular office hours tomorrow (Thursday) in the MSC.

20 July 2011. The voting in today's
class suggests that 28-July Thursday at 1pm is the best
possible time for the extra class.
This extra class will be Q&A session and I will answer
your questions (No new subjects will be lectured).
If you cannot make at this time and want to learn about
the topics we discussed at the review you can visit in my
office
hours (or other time by appointment).
08 July 2011. The Old Exam
Archive is a good source to practice for the
midterm. These exams can give you the idea
how the midterm is going to be. There are two points you
need to take into account about the old exams archive :
1- These midterms are designed for 50 min, our midterm
will be 60 minutes (we have 1 more question).
2- Chapter numbers were different in previous years. You
can check the following page (prepared by Andrew Loveless)
for correspondence of chapters
:http://www.math.washington.edu/~aloveles/Math120Fall2010/ExamCorrespondence.html
05 July 2011. I'm sending solution
sketches for some problems in the book. I skipped some
calculation steps. Each
solution takes several minutes but you don't need to
listen the audio part. If you click any point in the text
it will forward
or rewind the audio to that part of the solution.

homework
schedule is updated. You can now see the assigned
problems for all homeworks.
Midterm 1 will be from chapters 1 to 8 and midterm 2 will
be from chapters 1 to 15. Also note that some homeworks

The Math Study Center is a great place for
students to work on math, whether or not they need help.
We are not a tutoring center in the traditional sense. We
provide a comfortable place and a supportive
atmosphere for students to come together and study, in
groups or individually. We have on staff a number
of tutors (both graduate student TA's and advanced
undergraduates) who will sit down with students to help
them get unstuck or to answer questions.
We do not provide long blocks of uninterrupted one-on-one
tutoring.
Textbooks, calculators and other study materials are
available to be checked out for in-room use.
The Math Study Center provides services for students in
Math 111/2, 120 and 124/5/6 only.

The Math Study Center is located in B-014
Communications. Our hours this Summer are
Mon - Thu : 10:50 am - 5:40 pm
We open Tuesday, June 21.
