Sep. 18, 2006 Lectures are held in lecture room SCI B10 on Tuesdays and Thursdays 11:00-12:15.
Sep. 20, 2006 Assignment for Sep. 21-25 has been posted.
Sep. 26, 2006 The topics covered in each lecture can be accessed by clicking on "Topics Covered in Each Lecture".

A photocopy of pages 601-612 of the textbook has been sent to the library's reserve section.
Sep. 27, 2006 The Problem Session (PS) for Math 503 has been scheduled on Fridays 11:00-12:15 in Sciences Building Room Z42. The first PS will be held on Sep. 29.

Office hours for the teaching assistant (İlker Gündoğdu) are Wednesdays 15:30-17:00 and Fridays 9:30-11:00 a.m.  They will be held in Sciences Building Room B51.

Sep. 29, 2006 Copies of the textbook is now available in the bookstore.

PS has changed to Fridays 14:00-15:15 in SOS B42.

The lecture room has changed to CAS-136.

Quiz 1 will be given on Friday October 06 during the PS (14:00-14:45, in SOS B42). It will cover the subjects of the first four lectures (delivered on Sep. 19, 21, 26, 28).
Oct. 02, 2006 Due to conflict with the program of two of the students the PS has changed once again to Mondays 11:00-12:15 in ENG-B11.
Oct. 03, 2006 Because of the above change in the date and time of the PS, Quiz 1 will be given at 11:00-11:45, Monday Oct. 09, in ENG-B11. It will cover the subjects of the first four lectures (delivered on Sep. 19, 21, 26, 28).

Oct. 11, 2006 Assignment for Oct. 12-15 has been posted.

Quiz 2 will be held at 11:00-12:00, Monday Oct. 16, in ENG-B11. It will cover the subjects of the lectures 5-8 (delivered on Oct. 3, 5, 10, 12).

Oct. 20, 2006 Assignment for Oct. 20-30 has been posted.

Nov. 01, 2006 Assignment for Nov. 02-06 has been posted.
Nov. 02, 2006 Midterm Exam 1 will be held at 11:00-12:20, Tuesday Nov. 07, in ENG-B30. It will cover the subjects of the lectures 1-12 (delivered before Nov. 03) with a larger focus on the material not covered in quizzes 1 and 2. Nov. 08, 2006 Midterm Exam 1 grades have been entered into KUAIS. You may also view them by visiting Quiz & Exam Grades. To view your exam papers you must download a copy of the exam problems (See Handouts), solve them, and bring your solutions to me during my office hours, i.e., Tuesdays and Thursday 15:30-16:50.
